Self-Defense
Karate teaches children to think instead of panic when compromised. It trains
them how to react in a way that will help them instead of put them into further
danger or trouble. Top Mount Martial Arts emphasizes the appropriateness of
using what is learned in their lessons, and when and where it should be practiced.


















Self-Confidence
Children in the Next Generation Karate program are constantly achieving their
goals. As each new goal is accomplished, confidence increases. Each child
progresses at their own pace.  Each child’s accomplishments are celebrated in a
way that promotes motivation to achieve more, and recognition of process as part
of the achievement.

Being a member of Next Generation also means being a better student.  
Developing personal & social skills is a major part of the program. We stress
following directions, working as a part of the team, paying attention in class,
respecting those teaching, and becoming an active participant.  These are skills
they will use for the rest of their life.

Classes at Top Mount Martial Arts are fun, dynamic and challenging. It is a unique
approach to the martial arts for children who are there to learn and have
fun. A balance in the curriculum is key to the program. Classes are a mix of high
energy, serious traditional Karate, music, and games.

Who is Team Next Generation?
Team Next Generation
Team Next Generation are girls and boys who range in age from 7 to 13. They
run the spectrum in size, age, and maturity, but all have the desire to participate
in an organized athletic program with a variety of activities and goals.
